Ska Band Record Packaging
Vintage Vespa scooter photography and checkerboard graphic elements provide a visual identity for the debut album by the Chariots ā Washington, DCās favorite ska band.
Compressed sans typeface Schmalfette was made famous in the 1960s as the primary face of the German youth culture magazine Twen. Its brash urgency makes it the ideal typeface for the Chariots.
Posters were designed to promote live concert appearances, utilizing geometric abstraction to convey sonic power and an idiosyncratic energy.
